Every foreigner or stateless person who conducts employment in the territory of Ukraine is required to obtain an official permit for employment in Ukraine. The procedure for issuing, prolonging the term of validity and annulling the permission to use the work of an alien or stateless person is regulated by the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of May 27, 2013, No. 437.

A work permit in Ukraine is issued for a specific enterprise and a specific position for a period of 1 year. Upon completion of the work permit in Ukraine, a foreigner may extend the validity of the permit by submitting a set of documents in advance and an appropriate application.
